• Childcare or daycare is often not available for school age children (5-17).  Respite care services are available for all ages 0-17 every day of the year including holidays.
  • Temporary or emergency shelter for children and teens in CPS or foster care custody via special referral.
  • A couple have 2 children ages 3 and 7.  A recent death in the family requires them to travel for several days out of state.  Respite care services may be used to provide supportive care for the children.
  • A grandmother has been caring for her 10 year old grandson.  Recent health concerns require a hospital stay.  Respite care may be used to provide care for the child to support and promote the grandmothers healing so that she may return to caring for her grandson
  • A couple have 3 children ages 5, 7, and 14. The 14-year-old child has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Bipolar Disorder and requires additional attention on a daily basis from parents.  Respite care may be used to care for the 14-year-old and allow the parents to rest, relax, spend time with the younger children, and catch-up with household activities.
  • A couple have an 8-year-old Autistic child.  The child’s behaviors have recently escalated, and stress and anxiety is increasing in the home.  Respite care may be used to give the parents a needed break from providing care, regenerate, rest, and restore their ability to provide care.
